• SCOTTISH CULTURAL ENTERPRISE

Since 1998, Scottish Cultural Enterprise

has been providing expert arts and creative industries managment consultancy services in Scotland, England and Ireland, helping people and organisations working in the creative industries to seize new opportunities and to overcome barriers to success through a judicious blend of razor-sharp analysis and responding with creative, innovative bespoke solutions. SCE has assisted individual artists to save thousands of pounds; organisations to win hundreds of thousands of pounds; and assisted government bodies to invest millions. Money, of course is not everything, and the practice has developed extensive skills in helping individuals and other parties to develop a common understanding, be it formally through advising on issues relating to staffing, job descriptions and corporate governance, or informally through providing a process and environment in which critical and/or long-standing tensions and disagreements can be explored and resolved

Because SCE is led by people who are not just passionate about the arts but are active creators too»

Both SCE's founding directors are active artists. Erika King is a trained violinist with an an interest in performing and promoting new works  as well as being a Chartered Company Secretary and  having been Administrator of a major contemporary art venue. Matthew Rooke is a recognised composer, director and performer who in addition to his own works for theatre and the concert hall has performed with leading artists spanning the classical, jazz, contemporary popular and theatre worlds. Fraser White, SCE's Research Associate holds a Masters in Social Research, with a particualr interest in developing effective research tools to reach out to and engage with people active in the creative industries.
